Rocka is a children’s toy, made with cnc-milled wood that was collected in the forest.
It features three different sound elements children can play with to learn about music and rhythm.
It’s appearance focuses on symmetry and attractiveness to children as well as adults.

A yellow, twisted, and worn rubber glove shaped like a smiling face, with an open mouth and closed eyes, on a white background.
Arrangement of several logs and branches tied together with black and copper wire, some branches wrapped with black tape, forming a makeshift structure.

After designing on paper and in real life models, crooks were collected according to the intended shape.
The design was drawn in Rhinoceros 7 and milled later, using Fusion 360 to write the gcode.

A wooden sled with metal runners and a curved handle.
Wooden sleigh with white fleece-lined seat on plain white background.
Close-up of a wooden loom and a wooden shuttle used for weaving.
Close-up of a wooden door frame with a rectangular wood panel and hinges visible on the left side.
Close-up of carved indentation on a wooden surface, showing a pattern of evenly spaced, semi-circular grooves.

Sound-elements all over the object encourage children to play, hear and experience their own sounds and rhythms.
Children can use resonating lips, textures and rattles that have been worked into the wooden structure.
